2018 PIERRE-YVES COLIN-MOREY CORTON CHARLEMAGNE GRAND CRU

95 points Decanter
Combining grapes from two parcels, one in Pernand-Vergelesses and the other in Aloxe-Corton, this is a superb 65/35 blend that marries two very different terroirs. The 40% new wood needs a little more time to integrate, but this is a racy, subtle, intense Corton-Charlemagne with the precision and focus that you expect from a Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey white. Drinking Window 2022 - 2028.(TA) (10/2019)

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A tensile, racy wine—two-thirds from Pernand-Vergelesses, one-third from Aloxe-Corton—the 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru unwinds in the glass with scents of white flowers, orange oil, buttery pastry and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, it's chiseled and saline, with impressive cut and grip. (WK) (1/2021)

91-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound
A restrained, ultra-fresh and distinctly floral nose reflects notes of various white orchard fruit aromas, lemon zest and discreet wood toast. There is outstanding volume to the rich and succulent broad-shouldered flavors that possess focused power on the beautifully long and sappy mineral-infused finish that is shaped by citrus-tinged acidity. This isn't quite as structured as the Chevalier, but it too is promising. (6/2020)
